Electric Scooters Become a Global Consensus — OKGO Leads the Way with a Comprehensive IoV-Enabled Ecosystem
Electric scooters have become a global trend, offering zero emissions, reduced environmental pollution, and a significant shift from traditional fuel-powered two-wheelers. OKGO, originating from Taiwan, integrates a full-service system with IoV (Internet of Vehicles) applications, providing both B2B and B2C operational models to deliver a more energy-efficient and eco-friendly mobility experience.
OKGO highlights its mature electric scooter supply chain, covering manufacturing, processing, and R&D. The company has developed and integrated key components such as digital dashboards, motors, controllers, cloud-based management systems, and mobile app interfaces. In collaboration with China’s leading EV manufacturer AIMA, OKGO co-develops high-performance power systems.
OKGO’s operational ecosystem includes essential infrastructure for battery swapping. With its backend management platform and IoV integration, the system collects and analyzes data on battery usage and scooter performance. This real-time data insight helps operators make informed business and operational decisions.
This model is adaptable across various sectors, helping operators reduce infrastructure costs while benefiting from a comprehensive Taiwanese-developed solution. OKGO offers full-spectrum electric scooter systems, including a 125cc white-plate-class heavy-duty e-scooter, and is expanding this experience to global markets—showcasing Taiwan’s strength in data-driven operations and technical innovation.
OKGO’s new scooter, expected to launch in 2020, features premium yet accessible configurations. A 7-inch smart IoV dashboard comes as standard, offering riders clear driving information with auto-brightness adjustment. It is also the only one in its class to include a rear-speed radar alert system (BSD), utilizing millimeter-wave radar to detect fast-approaching vehicles from behind and warn the rider via sound alerts—enhancing road safety.
The scooter connects to the rider’s mobile app via Miracast, enabling real-time monitoring of parking status, battery level, and other vital stats. Riders can also cast smartphone navigation onto the dashboard for easier route guidance. In terms of performance, the e-scooter reaches top speeds of 95–100 km/h, with a maximum range of 100 km—eliminating range anxiety.
OKGO’s robust e-scooter ecosystem will first launch in Taiwan and then expand into Northeast and Southeast Asia. Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) have already been signed with partners in South Korea, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, and India. By exporting Taiwan’s successful model and turnkey solution, OKGO aims to bring smart, sustainable mobility experiences to the international stage.
