OKGO x Moovo Co-Develop “City & E-City” Shared Bike Platform

Fully In-House Design, Made in Taiwan for Smart Micromobility

OKGO Kaichi Green Energy, in collaboration with Moovo, has launched the “City” and “E-City” shared bike series—designed specifically for Taiwan’s public micromobility systems. The entire design and engineering process was conducted 100% in-house by OKGO, from concept sketches and structural modeling to electronics integration and final production, ensuring every detail meets the demands of shared urban use.

The design team began by analyzing real-world conditions in medium-sized Taiwanese cities like Changhua and Yunlin. Based on user behavior, maintenance patterns, and environmental factors, they defined core design parameters: durability, ease of use, modular repairability, and climate resilience. The City model features a lightweight, corrosion-resistant aluminum frame, while the E-City adds an electric assist system and a swappable battery module for longer-range commutes.

To address the operational demands of shared fleets, OKGO incorporated a modular design approach. Key components—such as the lighting system, motor, battery pack, and smart lock—can be quickly replaced or serviced, minimizing downtime. Seamless integration with Moovo’s IoT fleet management system enables real-time monitoring, geolocation, and usage data analytics.

Both models have successfully passed Taiwan’s strict bicycle certification standards, validating safety and long-term reliability for public use. As of now, the City and E-City have been fully deployed in Changhua and Yunlin counties, marking the first truly MIT (Made in Taiwan) shared mobility platforms built for local infrastructure.

Looking forward, OKGO and Moovo plan to scale the platform with AI-driven predictive maintenance, energy optimization features, and flexible subscription-based models—paving the way for smarter and more sustainable micromobility infrastructure in Taiwan and abroad.
